The Finalists

by Richard Halstead
The pedigrees that are collected within this publication reflect the title or titles achieved by the finalist before the year 2000. The name finalist is used to identify those dogs that either finished or won a National Open or National Amateur Retriever Championship. A few of the dogs finished as a National winner under a present or previous owner, with the previous owner listed after the current owner in parentheses. The registration number, sex, color, date of birth, owner, and breeder for each finalist are listed. Their Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) certification and other information such as High Point Derby or Double Header winner are also listed where applicable. The parent and grandparents have the registration number, color, and date of birth listed. Because of space limitations, the great-grandparents only have the registration number and the color listed.
