it's ranks when Nancy Meyer's Gracie, DreamMeyer's Graceful Hope,
finished her Master Hunter title the same month she turned three. |

with Dave Rorem handling.
Chance will be spending the summer with Rorem Retrievers in northern Minnesota. |

at Minnesota Field Trial Assoc. on 5/20/05 handled by his co-owner Ralph Dooley. An associate member

Lonestar's Maximum Risk, Chance, was fourth at the Hennepin County trial July 15-17
near Princeton, MN and John Ketzer's dog Sennaquins Windwalker, Walker, received a JAM.
Both dogs were handled in the Open by Dave Rorem. |

Lucille Brown owned/handled by Tim Springer won the Amateur at
the Central Minnesota Retriever Club's trial Aug. 5-7. |

FC Wynscapes High Flying Blues, owned by Jayne and Larry Halvorson
was third in the Amateur at the recent
Duluth Retriever Club held Aug. 19-21. |
| Dave Kress tells us that
"Pixie" is entered in the inaugural Canadian Master National and she is entered
in the AKC Master National in Texas. "Austin", 3 legged cancer victum, has
returned home from vetHab in better shape than the other dogs, he is entered
in Marshbanks master HT over the Labor Day weekend. |
| New title for WR SR CH Strege's
Strutting Blue Angel JH "Angel" earned her "MHR"
last weekend in Warroad MN Owned and handled by member Terry Strege. |
| Kudos to Tim Springer and
his dog Candlewoods Lucille Brown with a Amateur second August 26-28 at the
North Dakota Retriever Club at Dilworth, MN. This place and the Amateur Win
the previous weekend qualified them for the 2006 National Amateur. |
| Brian Oswalt became the
first member in Nebraska when he moved to Omaha from North Dakota. During this time
his dog became a MH and is now known as The Cptn's Sierra Shadow Ale, MH

Brown Dog Mafia member, High Mileage Firestorm (Pixie) was one of 14 qualifiers
at the first Canadian Master National held Sept. 6-9, 2005 at Luther Marsh and
hosted by the Horseshoe Hunting Retriever Club of Ontario. It was a great
place to be with wonderful weather, good dogs with excellent people and judges.
Pixie is an AKC Master Hunter and will be in Texas for the 2005 Master National.
Pixie was handled by Marty Kress. Marty also finished her black male High
Mileage Hilltops Hustle.Brown Dog Mafia member. |

at the Minnesota Field Trial Association's fall trial Sept. 9-11 near
Princeton, MN |
| Dave and Marty Kress'
Nilak’s Cool and Groovy (aka: Austin) completed his Master Hunter title with
a double qualification at the Black Warrior HT this past weekend. Austin
completed his Master by going 5 for 5 starting this quest over this past Labor
Day weekend. Brown dogs getting their Master title are not such a big deal
anymore but Austin has 3 legs. He lost his left rear leg due to cancer in
March of this year and then there was Chemotherapy and finally conditioning.
Austin’s parents are NFC Rascal x FTCH-AFTCH Caroube de Morganville, he is CNM
clear, has excellent hips and clear eyes. |
| Michael Watson's young
chocolate stud dog HRCH Ceaux-Ceaux Labs LA Roux MH has passed a double MH
Hunt Test this weekend to get his MH title. He passed his UKC-HRC finished
passes and 100 points in September to get his HRCH title. |

MH aka “Austin”, aka “Tripod” qualified for the 2006 MN this past weekend with
his qualifying score at the Atlanta HT. |
| Sad news today from Karen Klinkerfus,
one of the original Msfia members, tells us about her dog Sammy. Sammy, the Original Mafia Mutt,
recently passed away af 15 years old. Sammy was the true underdog, small in stature, but occupied
a large portion of Karen's heart. This Brown Dog will surely be missed. |
| Wyldfire's High Tech CFO MH
(Penny) finished her AKC Master Hunter title on 4-23-06 at the Idaho Retriever
Club Hunt Test. Penny finished last year strong with a JAM at the Idaho Retriever
Club Field Trial Amateur in September 2005, and has been two for two in Masters
this spring to finish her MH. This gives her owner Laura Foster three living
chocolate Master Hunters. See the photo in the Photos section. |

President of HRC, Inc. to Mafia Member Janet Kimbrough, Santa Fe, TX. Her dog,
HRCH UH High Praise Dark Chocolat With Nuts (Wagars). They went out in the
4th series of the Grand in Jackson, LA, April 22 - 26, 2006 but was a strong
competitor in an entry of 328 dogs. Janet is a special friend and loves those
brown dogs.(See the Brown Dog Mafia Cap) |
| Grits and Tom Herman had a great
showing at the Spring Grand. They made it to the fourth series and then didn't
have enough points to move onto the final day. We are very proud of what we
accomplished in our first trip to the Grand. |
